This is a commercial ad of SickKids. This commercial was released in October 2016 in Canada. Under the title of “SickKids: Anthem”.
Sick Kids “Anthem” brings together a multitude of forces, a metaphor, to depict the epic battles that go on everyday at The Hospital for Sick Children. Images of soldiers, gladiators, knights and superheroes symbolically represent the fight against sickness, the real warriors are the children, their families supported by their doctors and nurses who truly take on this fight everyday.
All of the children in “Anthem” are currently being treated at Sick Kids or have been patients at the hospital. These children are courageous, the doctors and nurses are tenacious but the power of this spot lies in compassion. For all that these families have been through: They came forward, without hesitation, to help tell the story of their fight, to help others fight, a wonderful personal testament and incredible tribute to Sick Kids.
It was done by Cossette, Toronto advertising agency. And, the commercial by Production Company is Skin and Bones and is directed by Mark Zibert.
Started out with the henny and then the kush came
Last time I freaked out and ain’t been high since
I’m on the fence shorty trying to send her rents
But how I’m gonna get top when I ain’t even got tints
And she don’t gotta lose her top, she don’t even got tits
So I’m praying that this creepy bus driver don’t glimpse
You would think my whip was stolen
In my past life I picked all that cotton in your clothing
I’m swollen like I hit a beehive with a Boeing
737 with my arms to the heavens like
Drop zone till the block’s gone
Can’t you tell we ran up out of options?
This ain’t a choir group
Tell the entire troop
And let it set you free we undeniable
