Rustlers: Crushing reality

This is a commercial ad of Rustlers. This commercial was released in June 2016 in United Kingdom. Under the title of “Rustlers: Crushing reality”.

This year, is England’s year. But when it’s not, grab one of our delicious flame grilled Rustlers Commiseration Burgers to help deal with the sorrow. To launch The Commiseration Burger we’ve recorded England’s unofficial Euro anthem with Chesney Hawkes and Peter Shilton.

It was done by Droga5, London advertising agency. And the commercial by Production Company is Biscuit Filmworks and is directed by Big Red Button.

Lyrics:
We hope we win.
We hope we win.
We’ll probably lose.
But we hope we win. (x2)

No victory in 50 years.
And yes, it could be 50 more.
Best prepare for some tears.
‘Cos our defence will likely let them score.
Still our boys will have fun.
Kicking a ball in the sun.
Though our chances are practically none.

COME ON ENGLAND!
Let’s be realistic.
Let’s be realistic.
Let’s think logically.
Let’s think logically.
No trophies in half a century.
Let’s blame it on the ref or injury.

We came third in sixty-eight.
But that was out of four.
That’s 14 tournaments we’ve lost straight.
Can we really take that much more?
Not one solitary title.
Or a single bloody final.
Will we ever escape this never ending spiral?

COME ON ENGLAND!
Let’s be realistic.
Look at the statistics.
Let’s think logically.
Let’s think logically.
No trophies in half a century.
Let’s blame it on the ref or injury.

Break it down England’s most capped player ever Peter Shilton…

Come on England.
We haven’t made a final in 50 years.
So what does it matter if we don’t win one more time?
We invented the World Wide Web.
Created the jet engine.
And pioneered DNA sequencing.
So who cares if we don’t even make it to the quarters, when an Englishman discovered gravity?
Will the eventual winner of the football ever be able to say they created the sewing machine or cat’s eyes?
You know cat’s eyes, the small reflective lights in the middle of the road that stop you drifting into oncoming traffic…
Anyway, no they bloody can’t!
11 strong men representing a country that invented the postage stamp, the hydraulic crane and vulcanisation of rubber.
And we’ll still be here when we get knocked out on penalties.
Which we probably will.
Elastic bands. English.
Flame grilled burgers you can cook in 90 seconds. England.
Tuning forks. Created by an Englishman in England.
Yes, this is a great country.
A country that invented anaesthetic.
So what does it matter if we don’t beat Slovakia.
We beat pain!

COME ON ENGLAND!
Let’s be realistic.
Let’s be realistic.
Let’s think logically.
Let’s think logically.
No trophies in half a century.
Let’s blame it on the ref or injury (x2)

We hope we win.
We hope we win.
We’ll probably lose.
But we hope we win (x2)
