Ford: Go Further

This is a commercial ad of Ford. This commercial was released in January 2017 in United States. Under the title of “Ford: Go Further”.

This year, Ford is airing a new 90-second advertisement immediately before the kickoff of Super Bowl LI. You might be wondering which vehicle Ford has decided to highlight this year. Well – the answer is actually none. Instead, Ford has decided to showcase the ways in which they “Go Further” as a auto and mobility company.

The ad begins with moments where people have become “stuck” in life at all ages and in all situations – like getting locked out of the house, being stuck in traffic, or getting your shirt stuck on your head. It then transitions to showcase Ford solutions that have been created to help people move freely again, ranging from tough truck capability, electric vehicles & self-driving vehicles to ride sharing & bike sharing. The ad, featuring the song “I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free” by Nina Simone and a voiceover by actor Bryan Cranston, aims to demonstrate how the Ford tagline ‘Go Further’ is more than just words.

Lyrics:
♬I wish I knew how it would feel to be free
I wish I could break all the chains holding me
I wish I could say all the things that I should say
Say ’em loud, say ’em clear
For the whole round world to hear
Well I wish I could be like a bird in the sky
Then I’d sing ’cause I know, yea
Then I’d sing ’cause I know
Oh I know how it feels to be free
How it feels to be free♬
